Mugshot Monday #2 - Vintage Meadow

Somehow it's that time again!  Monday is here and with it comes all the associated stress and havoc.  Mine has been particularly stressful, with a hospital visit and now a full body scan being scheduled :(  Fun times.  So what's needed is a nice mug of tea or coffee (or whiskey).  Good job it's Mugshot Monday...

Today's offering from my collection is often overlooked, but is actually one of my favourites.

It's a vintage beauty that I picked up in a charity shop quite a while back. It has spent a lot of its life with me as a decorative/ornamental piece, but more recently I've discovered it is actually very good for sipping tea in a prim and proper fashion.

I love the unusual floral pattern on it and I'm not even sure what that bluey grey thing is at the bottom - it almost looks like some sort of skull?!  Or is that just me?

It also has the all-important small, inner rim design, yay!

Here's what is stamped on the bottom:

I should probably do some research on it and my other vintage teacups at some point.  It's always nice to know if there's any story or significance (or value!) to things.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to destress with a nice mug of tea.

Until next time!
