Mugshot Monday #9 - Knuckleduster

Guys. Today is not my friend. The clocks went forward over the weekend, which always spins me for a loop. I woke up feeling jetlagged and bleurgh. It's Monday. Then I discovered there was no running water in my house due to a burst water main along the road.

With all this going down before it was even 10am, I knew exactly which mug I needed to share with you today; one that could deliver a hefty bunch of fives to the chops of Monday. Raaaaah!

This mug is massive - I think it must fit two regular mugs of tea in it. It's as big as my face. Black, to suit my Monday mood. And a hint at the ultra violence that could be unleashed with the wrong provocation, in the form of a knuckleduster.

So simple, yet such a statement.

After grumbling about my morning on Twitter, someone told me "Every day is special, appreciate it, love it, be grateful for it." I know this better than anyone, but that doesn't mean every day has to be sunshine and skipping through a flower meadow. There are good and bad days. For everyone. I've written here before about honesty and I will never put on a fake smile and pretend life is rosy, if it isn't. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate every single day. I just don't see the point of saying "I'm having a super duper Monday, la la la", if I'm not.

It was good to be reminded though and I've subsequently decided to try and turn this Monday frown upside down. A little PMA can do wonders, so I'ma put on some tunes, work on a new header for the blog and my upcoming store (more on that at some point!) and do some hardcore daydreaming.

Hope your week kicked off on a better note!

xx

P.S. On a completely unrelated subject, does anyone know how to publish posts to a Facebook page? Not my personal profile, I want to set up a blog page and have them automatically publish a link there. Is this possible?...

  1. Awesome mug and agree with the sentiment, you can't be happy all the time. You have to have the odd bit of 'down' time to make the good times that much better!

    1. Exactly - otherwise you'd be like that over-enthusiastic guy that Phoebe dates in Friends, who describes everything as being "aglow with the light of a million fairies"!!

    1. Thanks! I find perma-happy people reeeally annoying - it's like they don't actually feel anything and are trying to overcompensate! xx

  3. For the Facebook thing, there are apps you can use on there to do that for you like Networked Blogs and RSS Graffiti. I haven't tried them yet, but it's definitely possible. :)
