Mugshot Monday #14 - Dinosaur

I'm posting this rather late in the day for me - it's Bank Holiday Monday and I've been super busy. Better late than never though, right?

This week's mug is a vintage treat. I think it used to belong to my stepdad...if not, I've no idea how I acquired it! It features a rather ferocious dinosaur (brontosaurus, I think?) and volcano, which wraps round most of the mug.
EDIT: A Twitter follower sent me this link - apparently the name 'brontosaurus' has been scrapped. Booo.

The bottom of the mug is stamped with "Purbeck Pottery".

I love the geeky, retro design of this mug - I like to imagine I'm a professor, or palaeontologist working in a museum, when I drink from it.

It's a tall, slim mug - the only one of this shape in my collection, making it unique.

Needless to say, it's one of my favourites...but then, I say that every week! I hope nobody ever makes me choose an overall favourite - it'd be impossible!

Hope you've all had a super weekend. I'll post about what I got up to in a day or two.

xx

    1. Aaahh, I haven't seen that for years! Not since I was really little! I don't remember it too well - perhaps it needs another viewing! xx
