Mugshot Monday #16 - Monochrome Kitties

I seem to be posting my Mugshots later and later each week - it's one of the few posts I don't prep ahead of time. I wake up and dependent on what I'm doing and how I'm feeling that day, I choose a mug, take pics, edit and upload, the whole shebang, when I have the time to do it. I like it that way. I don't like things to be too pre-planned or scripted.

Today's mug is one of very few mass-produced specimens in my collection. That said, I cannot for the life of me remember where I bought it...possibly BHS or Sainsbury's or somewhere like that. It was about ten years ago though, so I'll forgive my memory lapse!

It is unusual amongst my other mugs in that it's lacking colour. I really like the simple black outline of the kitties and their different shapes and sizes. Sometimes minimalism works best (you will never hear me say that ever again). With its childlike charm and no fuss design, this mug is my go-to when I need to get shit done with no distractions.

Hope you're having a rad Monday!

  1. Cats and mugs full of tea are the best pairing ever so safe to say this is up my street.Whenever I see mugs and cups in Charity shops now I think "Lilly must have tons of these!" haha xx

    1. Haha! I am the mug queen! Although...I am starting to get to the end of my collection! Only a few weeks left! :O xx

  2. I inadvertently started a mug collection while I was in college. I was broke so I just bought random funky mugs from the thrift store. People would use them when they came over, assume that the missmash of designes was intentional and give them to me for birthdays or Christmas, my "collection" now takes up half of an entire cabinet in my kitchen, but I love it.

    1. Excellent! I've always thought a mish-mash of individual mugs are way better than a matching set :)

I love to read your comments and thoughts, so why not leave me some Tiny Grey Cat chat!
