What I Wore // Leopard Maxi

Sheesh, it has been so hot the past few days. I am all for sunshine, but I cannot deal with heat at all. I've always been hypersensitive to any change in temperature, both hot and cold, so I struggle to handle the more extreme seasons. I'm all about spring and autumn, where the temperature is more constant and mild.

With that in mind, I struggle to find comfortable clothes in the heat. Easy breezy is where it's at, so a maxi dress is perfect for swooshing about in.

Here's what I wore on a sweltering day, where all I could manage was a stroll to the shop, before wanting to climb in the fridge.

I tried to get Soldier to take a nice picture with me, but he wasn't having any of it. Too hot for fluffy sausages.

And no, in case you were wondering, my hair hasn't magically doubled in length - I'm trying out clip-in extensions for the first time! I'll be posting a full review of them soon, so stay tuned if you want to know more. Oddly, after being so desperate for long hair again, I think I look super weird! It's very strange to suddenly look the way I used to.

How are you hot tamales keeping cool in this heatwave?

xx

  2. I saw some clip in extensions the other day and was tempted to try them, just for fun and just too add more colours to my hair haha.
Hanging about in my underwear is my way of staying cool but since that's not an option at work, I'm just melting instead :( the temperature keeps fluctuating so I keep getting caught in jeans when it's 28 degrees out.
I love the edge that the denim vest gives to the dress, it looks awesome with the blue hair :) Plus that necklace is too cute!

  4. That's an absolutely gorgeous outfit! I've never tried extensions but yours look so natural in the pictures.

We're lucky enough to have a large fan so I'm mostly lounging in front of that. In work I just accept my new life as a puddle. Lisa x (@cthulhuwakes)

    1. Oh thanks, love - I was worried that they looked really obvious! It was my first try with them and I didn't really spend any time trying to blend them in properly. I think my hair needs to be a tiny bit longer to for the extensions to work best, but it's cool having the option!
I wish I had a decent fan. My house is so hot though, it'd probably just blow the hot air around. I need an igloo! xx
