What I Wore // Denim and Unicorns

I'm sure you've seen this jumper a million times in the blogosphere lately - it seems the world and his wife have snapped it up and, at £5.99, who wouldn't?

I find sweatshirts hard to wear, due to their boxy style - they do not sit well with my hourglass shape, usually making me look rotund and chunky, when my small waist is actually one of the few things I like about my figure. So I tend to keep this type of jumper to slobby days at home, or use them as pyjamas.

Also, I'm sure you're aware, H&M sizing is whack. I have clothing from there which varies in size from 8 to 14. Way to be consistent! Case in point: this jumper is a size XS. Go figure.

Pastel pink and unicorns though!

I feel like a marshmallow in this sweater, but in a good way. All that pink needs some black and some studs to balance it out, so I teamed it with my pixie boots and a battered old denim jacket. Oh and I've been rocking my vintage Polly Pocket necklace, because I'm a child and I freaking love it.

I'm wearing:
Denim jacket - vintage
Unicorn sweater, tube skirt & leggings - H&M
Studded pixie boots - Barratts (old)
Polly Pocket necklace - vintage

Have a great weekend!

xx

  1. Your hair looks so amazing in these pictures. I totally get what you mean about H&M sizing. I have this in a XS and it's still huge! Crazy! Lisa x

    1. Right?! It's like they just make up the sizes as they go!
Thanks, lovely - I'm excited that my hair is getting longer! x

  2. I have not seen this sweater and I want it! I don't think I've ever bought from H&M, but I have to keep the sizing thing in mind if I ever do. You look simply stunning as always! & That Polly Pocket necklace is too rad.

    1. Their trouser/jeans sizing is particularly irksome! Even their 'biggest' size won't go over my butt! :'(

  4. H&M sizes are totally whack! I completely agree and it annoys me so much. I personally hate trying things on so I like a store to be consistent. Damn you H&M!

I'm with you on the jumper, I enjoy them but I always feel a little uncomfortable in them.

I do love this outfit with the black and studs, yay studs! Also Polly Pocket necklace, that's so freaking cool!

    1. It makes me so mad! Whenever I try anything on in there, I have to take about three sizes of the same item because I just never know which is going to fit. I don't even bother trying trousers or jeans in there, because even the biggest size is too small.
Thanks, dear! Glad you like the outfit!

  6. I haven't seen that sweater before.. it's so cute! I can't wear them either.. it's just too boxy and I don't know how to make it work. The denim jacket definitely works !!

    1. I always think it's such a shame, because they're so comfy and FEEL great, then I look in the mirror and am like...oh...you don't LOOK great!
