What I Wore // Tutti Frutti and Pirate Booty

Hi kittens!

Just as I thought autumn was here, September pulled its last card from up its sleeve - a few days of late summer sun and warmth. I don't know why I'm surprised; it happens practically every year.

Monday was Hannes' birthday, so I made an attempt to look presentable. I mixed a fruity print dress with my favourite skull print shirt and denim vest. I paired it all with ruffle socks and wedges, to mix up the hard and soft.

Oh and...here's a beeeautiful outtake for you. Haha.

I'm wearing:
Checked bandana - Primark
Denim vest - H&M
Skull print shirt - H&M
Fruity dress - George at Asda
Ruffle socks - Primark
Wedges - super old

I love the print on this dress - it has so many fruits on it. There are cherries, strawberries, raspberries, pineapples...a real fruit salad! Unfortunately the dress is a bit of an odd shape on me, due to my height. It has an empire waist, which as usual sits up on my ribs/just below my boobs. Luckily, it works out OK as a skirt, wearing a top with it.

As my hair gets longer, the lovely post-chemo curls I had are dropping out. I'm super sad about it. Before chemo, when I had long hair, I would curl it every day, so when it started growing back curly I thought I'd lucked out. This was my first time using my old curling iron. It turned out OK, but needs some work. I much prefer my hair curly to straight and wish my curls had stuck around!

It's payday this week - thank goodness - and I'll finally be treating myself to getting ma roots sorted out. Nothing quite like freshly dyed hair! I'm considering switching up the colour too, as suddenly everyone seems to have blue hair - it seems to be the 'in' colour. I hate it when that happens, so I may well change mine soon...

Hope you're all having a lovely Tuesday!

xx

  2. That's an awesome dress!
I love freshly dyed hair! I can't resist changing the colour, I usually change it each time I do my roots but I normally hold out and sort them when they are 2-3 inches long.

    1. I'm trying to keep my new hair as healthy as possible, so I want to bleach it as little as possible! I cannot deal with long roots though, they're about an inch at the moment and look bad because it's such a noticeable colour difference - they are so much lighter that I really do look like I'm getting a bald patch!

  4. I've just changed my hair colour too! Apparently turquoise is the fashionable colour, so I've rebelled and dyed mine brown for now. I absolutely adore this outfit. You look awesome.
