Sunday Life Cereal

If you're a regular reader of Tiny Grey Cat, you may have noticed that so far in 2015, my Friday Favourites posts have been absent. As mentioned in my New Year post, I'm working on shaking things up around here, so I thought I'd move these life-serial-type-posts to a Sunday, as I think they are better suited to a slow, catch-up kinda day.

I've changed 'serial' to 'cereal', because I love terrible puns and who doesn't love a big bowl of yummy cereal whilst catching up on one's blog reading?!

This week I've been munching on delicious pink doughnuts and slurping copious cups of tea, in a bid to keep warm and power me through these chilly days. I'd been after this particular vintage teapot for ages and, Hannes' mum got me one for Christmas, with a matching teacup! I love it so much and have been using it pretty much every day.

I finally got my hands on the 'Unicorn Horn' bath bomb, yay! I popped into Lush on my Monday lunch break, but they had sold out. A lovely shop girl told me they were getting more the next day, but I couldn't go back again until Friday and was afraid they'd sell out again. Luckily they still had plenty, so I bought two. Isn't it perfection? I almost don't want to use it because it's so pretty. Obviously I will though, because bubble baths are amazing. Let's not talk about how my wall, hair and skin are all pretty much the same colour.

Today I went to the city farm to see all my favourites. I used to go at least once a month, but because of yucky weather I haven't been for a long time. I fed carrots and apples to my favourite pygmy goats and the two Shetland ponies were out in the paddock next to them, so I got to sneak them a few apples as well. They are adorable and are like real life My Little Ponies! I can't wait for spring, when there will be teeny tiny baby goats and piglets.

Molly has been loving her garden walkies on her harness. Soldier wasn't too impressed when she climbed his favourite tree, but the two of them have made some good progress lately. I don't think they'll be snuggling up together just yet, but they are being much friendlier/tolerant/respectful of one another. After the kitty garden adventures, I was chilled to the bone, so had some steaming hot mulled apple juice, in my favourite mug. Bliss!

I've been really off my reading game lately. One of my goals last year was to read one book a month. I was a book ahead of schedule, until about June, then I couldn't find anything I liked and failed miserably at my goal. I used to read a book every couple of weeks and really miss it. I'm going to try harder this year. I usually fall asleep and faceplant into my book if I read in bed, so I've been keeping it light with some of my favourite children's books. Molly would rather I pet her, clearly. Oh, and, my obsession with My Little Pony is as strong as ever!

I hope you all have a great start to the week and that Monday is kind to you!

xx
