Sunday Life Cereal

Sunday is here again - can you believe we're already nearing at the end of January? Christmas is but a distant memory and we're well and truly into 2015.

I've had a pretty good, productive week and several exciting things have happened!...

Firstly, I set up my own domain name! Hooray, go me! It was a kerfuffle and a half, but I got there in the end. This is a major achievement for me and I'm pretty proud of myself! Big thanks to Toni for helping me through it! <3 I also made a new blog header and made a few other tweaks to my blog design. Keep your eyes peeled for more changes - it's a work in progress, but I'm slowly getting it to look more how I want it.

Secondly, I went back to school! I signed up for an evening class over the Christmas break, but wasn't sure whether it would run, due to low numbers. Luckily, a few more people signed up, so on Tuesday I went along to my first session. It was really great and I'm hopeful that I'll learn a lot over the coming weeks and it will definitely help me with my shop plans. More on that soon.

Thirdly, and possibly the one I'm most excited about; check this out!...

Soldier. And Molly. Snuggling!! I'm so glad I managed to get a photo, otherwise I'd think that I dreamt it. Soldier was already curled up on my lap, when Molly slinked up for a cuddle as well. Usually at this point, Soldier would grumble and jump down, but he merely peeped out the corner of his eye whilst Molly squeezed herself in, then went back to sleep. Yay! Double yay! It hasn't happened again since, but this was such a major deal for them. I feel like they have made some really good progress over the past few weeks.

The rest of my week has looked like this:

Bits and pieces from town - fine liners and Minnie Mouse nail stickers from the pound shop (turns out the nail stickers are crap, so I'll be using them as regular stationery stickers), samples from Lush (I'l post a full review of the R&B hair moisturiser when I've used up the sample), and cute buys from H&M.

An absolutely stunning pastel sunrise and super Molly snuggles.

Saturday afternoon movie - I went to see the My Little Pony movie at the cinema, for my 4th birthday. The dvd arrived in the mail this week, so I settled down with some popcorn to rewatch it for the first time since 1986! It's hardly a cinematic masterpiece, but it's so fun and the pretty pastel animation is dreamy. So much better than the new MLP.

Finally, what week would be complete without some tasty treats?! My fella has been suffering from a touch of January Blues, so whilst he was at work, I baked him some cupcakes and decorated them like a spring fĂȘte, with tiny bunting and flags.

This morning I whipped up a batch of American pancakes, with caramelised cinnamon apple and chopped banana. Uh, YUM! I seriously love pancakes.

Surf Club
Here are a few fun links, from things I've enjoyed whilst surfing the web this week:

* Lynsay's beautiful living room tour - oh me, oh my! So gorgeous!
* Lisa's Mindful Mondays series - mindfulness has been instrumental in my recovery, and I urge everyone to try it for a few minutes every day.
* This video of a Delaware cop bustin' a move to Taylor Swift's 'Shake it Off', in his patrol car. I have a feeling it may be a stunt to show the US police in a more favourable light, but I don't even care - it's amazing and makes me smile every time. Plus, I love that song.

How has your week been? What has been your favourite moment?

xx

  1. This post fills my heart with joy. So much wonderful prettiness in one post. Gutting that the nail stickers are rubbish, as they look so incredibly adorable but as normal stickers they are still pretty cute. ;) xx

    1. Thanks, lovely! Yes, I was so disappointed with the nail stickers! Oh well, I'll just have to decorate other things with them! xx

  2. I thought you'd altered the layout but I wasn't 100% sure, sometimes I just don't notice things and then I hate the idea of going "Woo, new layout" and it's been like that for about a month or two... I did notice the change to white though :)

Mmm, those pancakes sound really tasty! I need more pancakes in my life!

I've not tried the R&B hair mask yet, I want to. I'd like to hear what you've got to say about it. I tried the Hsuan-something-something one... (I have no idea, what it is call, but it's unreadable to me...) - I really liked it too :)

    1. Hehe, gold star for your observation skills! ;)
One can never have enough pancakes in their life! I'd eat them every day if I could.
I will post an update on the R&B hairymadoodle soon! x
