Super Caturday Garden Adventures

Warning: if you're not a crazy cat person, or if you don't really care for adorable, fluffy animals (in which case, what's wrong with you?!), then you may want to skip this post. There are many, many cat pics below...Hooray!

I've been torn for a while now, between whether or not to let Molly outside. Soldier has free access to the outdoors and has always loved exploring and adventuring. He's pretty streetwise and a bit of a badass, so although I worry every time he goes out, I know he's generally quite sensible. Molly, however...good lord, she's a spaz! She is scatty, crazy, hyper and more inquisitive than any cat I've known. We all know the saying about curiosity and cats, and there is a 99% chance that she would get herself into trouble as soon as she set foot out the door.

A compromise has been reached, in the form of a kitty harness. Yep, that's right - I am the lady who walks her cat on a lead. Molly's taken to it quite well, although we've only been out a few times so far, and only around the garden. Until I live somewhere quieter, away from busy roads, it's the only way I'm happy for her to go outside. My garden is sheltered, with lots of trees and bushes, so she is really happy to toddle around and sniff everything.

Here are some snaps of her and Soldier having a grand ol' time, last week.

Ohhh, they are so cute! I know I'm biased, but I'm fairly certain I have the most beautiful cats in the whole world.

xx

  1. This pics are beautiful! And I'm impressed that you got Molly to walk on a harness, I tried with Cass once and she freaked out so badly that she snapped it into four pieces! VJ x

    1. Holy smokes! Soldier's the same - the one time I tried with him, he freaked right out. I think Molly's just young enough to be purrsuaded! ;) x

    1. I think it's more that she's so excited and interested in everything, that she forgets she's wearing the harness! When I first put it on her indoors, she rolls around grabbing the lead! xx
