Primark Haul

I've never done a haul post before, but I love seeing what other people have bought and I just know y'all are going to LOVE my recent purchases as much as I do, so here we are!

I hadn't had a good Primark binge for yonks. We recently got one in my town, but it's small and crap, so last week I took myself to Bristol and spent what felt like hours, meticulously scouring every nook and cranny in the giant store there.

Oh lordy - I went a bit mental! Let's jump straight in and see what goodies I grabbed...

I love flamingos! Luckily for me, Primark is currently full of them! I freakin' adore their homewares and these are going to fit into my home d├ęcor perfectly! The duvet cover is reversible - white one side, pink the other.

I really needed some basic tops to wear with skirts, so I bought a few plain tees and vests in fresh ice cream colours. I also chose two stripy tops - I love the peach on grey and, of course, everyone needs a nautical navy and white striped tee.

The sherbet lemon raincoat caught my eye and then intrigued me - apparently it folds up into one of its own pockets, for portability. What a neat trick! I've not tried it yet, but it will be so handy to throw in my bag when I'm unsure where the next April shower might spring from!

The doughnut shirt is from the men's section and I have some DIY customising plans for it...stay tuned! If it turns out well, I'll post a tutorial.

And of course, I had to have the Powerpuff Girls top! I just about screamed when I saw it. There was no doubt that it was coming home with me. When I was at school, if I had a free period (and sometimes when I just wanted to bunk off), I'd sneak off to my dad's house, who lived nearby, and watch Powerpuff Girls on Cartoon Network. Aaah, good times!

Lastly, I snagged some supercute accessories. The little mint bag is perfect for when I don't want to lug a huge tote around. It fits my purse, phone and keys just great.

I couldn't pass up pastel bobby pins! I store mine in a lipstick case - it's the perfect size and makes carrying them around a breeze - no more losing bobby pins in the depths of my bag, never to be seen again!

Getting ahead of myself and wishing it were warmer, I picked up a kitsch ice cream scoop, a candy stripe towel and a pair of retro shades. I decided to try one of those wire headwrap things - I think they're supposed to be the lazy girl's bandana, but they are so weird! I cannot get on with them, so I'm going to take the wire out and use the fabric as a little neck tie.

In case you don't know (ha!), I like pastels, so the mint green canvas pumps were a must. They are super comfy and I can see myself stocking up with more pairs.

Finally, how freakin' awesome is this ice cream bag?! It's actually a wash bag, but I'm never one to conform, so I'm using it as a clutch/pouch.

And that wraps up my Primark haul. The sad truth is, I put at least half as much back on the rails again - my basket was overflowing and I couldn't afford it all, so I had to part with some other gems. I'm hoping they'll still be there, come next payday...

What is your favourite item?
Have you bought any fun items recently - anywhere I should check out?

  1. I LOVE the Primark in Bristol! Whenever I visit my friend and we go there together we get lost for hours and hours! I'm lucky that the one in Newcastle is huge as well so we always get a lot of stock - the one in my home town of Norwich is awful though, it's teeny!

LOVE the peach on grey top and that yellow waterproof is gorgeous, it's like something you'd get from Joules! I got a blue and white waterproof last year and it really does fold away neatly into its own pocket, its great!

The bobby pins in the little container are awesome, need to go and hunt that down myself, Im always losing mine!

Fantastic haul .. and now I want to go to Primark!

    1. It is great, isn't it? I was in there so long I didn't have time to go anywhere else! The one in Bath is pitiful in comparison.

I've been wearing the peach and grey stripy top SO much! It's super comfy and I love the colours. Ooh, I'm glad to hear the raincoat does actually fold away! I haven't tried it yet, mainly because I had a blonde moment and couldn't figure it out! >_<

It's going to be tough to stay away from Primark come next payday - I really want to go back for the things I had to put back! xx

  4. I use this word way too much but the only way to describe all this is cute! haha You are a pastel princess!!!
I'm dying for some new bedding and usually get Primark, this has made me want to stray from my black/grey norm and try something brighter though.

That little yellow parka is adorable too. I love yellow!
