I know I say this every single week, but how is it Sunday again?! The weeks are rolling by (look, there goes another one!) and in a couple of days, it'll be April. APRIL! Sheesh.
Look at my fluffy babies! I love this photo of them so much. They are getting on much better these days, apart from when Molly has one of her crazy kitten moods and jumps on Soldier at every opportunity. He is so patient with her though - she's lucky he hasn't given her a proper telling off. In general though, things are peaceful on the kitty front...bar the odd hiss!
This week has mostly been taken up with looking for houses - house hunting is so time consuming, you guys! The online trawling, checking map locations, calling agents, waiting for call backs, going to viewings...uuugh! It will all be worth it if we find somewhere though.
We actually really liked a house that we viewed yesterday and are going back for a second viewing on Tuesday - eep! I won't say more than that, because I don't want to get ahead of myself. One thing's for sure - when we finally move, I am not looking forward to packing up all my little knick knacks and treasures!
After sitting on it for several weeks, I can finally reveal my very first commissioned digital illustration! It was turned into a jigsaw puzzle, to reveal a mystery birthday trip - what a neat idea! The client really liked it and I'm pleased with how it turned out, especially for my first big piece, but I know so much more now and would do some bits of it slightly differently - such is the learning way!
The rest of my week has looked like this...
Catching up with furry farm friends.
Filling the house with fresh, springtime flowers.
Indulging in one of my favourites - Easter biscuits!
A very mixed bag of weather, including beautiful pastel sunsets...
...and terrible storms (today), which turned me into Grumpy Bear.
I also got my hair cut, as the ends were getting pretty dang gnarly. It's funny - when I was bald and my hair started growing back, I was adamant that I'd grow it straight back out and have it long again, but now I really like it short and keep getting it cut!
Despite my initial grumpiness this morning, at the appalling weather and the loss of an hour's sleep, due to the clocks changing, I've had a super Sunday. My first cooked breakfast in ages, tea and biscuits, Thor 2, a nap with kitty cuddles, then homemade enchiladas. Not bad! Not bad at all. And now I'm having a cheeky amaretto and Coke, instead of washing my hair, because I can't be bothered and sometimes you just need the laziest of Sundays. Tomorrow can be a bandana day!
Hope you've had a swell week!
Cheers, my lovelies!
