What I Wore // Sunjellies and Shades

Bank holiday weekend and the sun actually shone! Well, for some of it, at least. Saturday was one of those oh-so rare days, where the temperature was perfect for me. I love sunshine, but hate heat. Hate it, hate it. Around twenty degrees celsius is the golden spot - not too hot, but warm enough to comfortably go without a cardigan - so I was loving it.

The plan was to go for a walk and a picnic, but there was some event going on a few streets over, which was filling the air with Bob Marley and other fresh summer sounds, so we decided to have our picnic in the garden and have the kitties out there with us. Soldier has free roam outdoors, but Molly is a very sensitive and special needs kitty, so she is only allowed out on her harness, under supervision. She had such a crazy fun day! I have a whole post of pictures of her and Soldier, coming up soon.

I already had several Sunjellies bags, but I'd been lusting after this Jane tote for months now and finally caved. As it's my birthday next weekend (I don't think I've mentioned it?...Ha!) I also decided to treat myself to two pairs of their jelly shoes. They have a really generous sale on this weekend, with 20% off everything! You can take advantage of the discount by using code JELLYTASTIC at checkout, until midnight on Monday. I had blue jelly shoes and a white jelly bag when I was a little girl, so I just adore everything they make. Heart eyes.

I'm wearing: round shades - Primark, leopard print blouse - H&M (old), flower corsage - Accessorize, shorts - George at Asda, leggings - H&M, jelly bag - Sunjellies, striped shoesies - legit can't remember!

I was a tad concerned that the tote would be too big, but I needn't have worried - it is the perfect size for throwing all my junk in, for a day of fun! Being tall as well, I don't think it looks at all big on me. Now I just need to get the pink and blue versions as well!

Do you love Sunjellies as much as I do?
Which pieces do you own?

xx

  2. You look SOOOO beautiful! <3
Also I've been thinking about getting a kitty harness just to take Luna out on - only in the courtyard that our building is in, just so she can have some 'outside time' - does your kitty like it?
    Lovely post! <3

    1. Thank you, my lovely!
Molly loves it! I think because I started doing it when she was young, she's never minded. I started by putting just the harness bit on indoors and letting her get used to it before ever taking her out. Now when I put it on her, she goes straight to the door, because she knows it means walkies! <3

  3. I am exactly the same about the heat. I can't stand it when it's too hot. I love the bag - perfect for all of your spring/summer essentials! :)

    1. Thanks, Vicky! I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the heat! People usually look at me like I'm crazy when I say it! xx
