This week has flown by - I can't believe my birthday was over a week ago already! Booo! I did get some belated gifts today though, so I'm pretending it's still my birthday, yay!
It hasn't been a very busy week, I just seem to be stressing about house moving stuff, but not actually getting anything done. Do you ever do that? I look at my to-do list and go "Aaaargh, I need to do this and this and this...I know, I'll make a cup of tea and watch Netflix instead!" Then it's always a mad rush at the last minute. I'm going to try really hard to get organised and not do that this time. Uh huh.
Spring has finally sprung in my garden and the roses around my front door are bursting forth, which I'm super excited and happy about. I have two types - Pink Ones and Yellow Ones (I'm sure that's their technical names). Only one pink rose has blossomed so far and it's pretty tiny, but oh-so perfect. They have far fewer petals/layers than the yellow roses. There are two big, pouffy yellow flowers that are so dreamy, like frothy tutus. Both plants have many more buds just waiting to open. They usually bloom right through summer into October. I'm sure going to miss them when I move. I think I'm going to try to take cuttings, so I can grow them at the new house. Does anyone have any experience of this? All advice gratefully received!
A lot of my time this week has been taken up with photographing and measuring items for my Instagram sale. Sheesh, I'd forgotten how much stuff I had in boxes, waiting to be sold! I'm going to set up a separate Insta account for the sale, so head on over to my page to get the scoop when it's up and running (hopefully this week).
On Thursday I went to visit my friend, Richie and his kiddos, Erin and Rory. Bless their hearts, they had prepared a birthday party tea for me! The entire kitchen table was covered with sandwiches, snacks, pizza, gingerbread men, oh! It was deeeelicious. Hooray for lovely friends!
I got a couple of new things this week: I'd seen a button-up denim skirt at Zara a couple of months back, but at nearly £40, I couldn't justify it. So I was super happy to find a dupe in Primark, for a bargainous £10. Oh yes. Then on Friday, my boss went out to get noodles for his lunch and came back with a pair of awesome flamingo chopsticks for me, because he obviously knows I love such ridiculous things!
I think I may go on a shopping hiatus now, until I've moved, as I already have so much stuff to haul along with me and I want to get settled in the new house and see what would work well there before buying anything more (she says).
Other things that have made me happy this week are:
My cute 'n' kitsch home.
Plenty of kitty snuggles.
Yummy veggie hotdogs.
I hope you've all had a stellar week and that Monday is kind to you.
What has been your standout moment of the week?
